A.  The MSURA web site has a new "address" (URL) effective 1/14/10:
 
     http://www.retirees.msu.edu/
 
The new URL is more intuitive and therefore much easier to remember.  Please click on the link above and then "add" a Bookmark or Favorite in your preferred web browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc).
 
These slightly abbreviated forms will also work:   http://retirees.msu.edu/   or simply   retirees.msu.edu

B.  The January 2010 newsletter has been published.  Whether you receive the digital or the print edition of the Spartan Senior newsletter, you can use this link to view/print/save the online edition:

If you have been receiving the print edition of the Spartan Senior newsletter via postal mail, your postal delivery will continue.  In your case, the online link to the newsletter simply lets you access the newsletter prior to the arrival of your printed edition (or when you do not have access to your printed copy, as while traveling).
 
Many retirees have elected to discontinue receiving the print edition via postal mail (thereby reducing costs for MSURA as well as reducing the amount of postal mail that they receive).  Those members use this link to access the digital edition of the Spartan Senior (and optionally to save it on their hard drive for future reference and/or to print it at home).  Contact the MSURA Office if you would like to discontinue postal delivery and switch to the digital edition of the newsletter.  (If you use a dial-up connection, it will take some time to load the digital edition.)

Please note that our digital newsletters are PDF files, which means that your computer will need Adobe Reader (free for Windows, Mac, Linux) or another software program that can display PDF files (e.g., Preview on the Mac).  If you don't have the free Adobe Reader program for Windows or Mac, you can easily download it from the Adobe web site:  http://get.adobe.com/reader/
