Subject: MSU Retirees -- e-Notices, 11/7/12 Michigan State University Retirees Association (MSURA) MSURA EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS 11/12: Monthly Member Meeting, 2:00 pm, MSUFCU Farm Lane branch (4825 E Mt Hope Rd, EL): MSU Professor Robert Walker goes into the Amazon on field campaigns most summers with support from the National Science Foundation. They study how loggers build roads into the virgin rainforest, thereby opening the door to agricultural colonization. This program should serve as a wake up call to all of us on how nature is teetering on the brink and what we might be able to do about it. 11/13: Tour the MSU Recycling Plant and Surplus Store with MSURA, 1 pm. The Surplus Store will be open if you want to make purchases. Park in the Surplus Parking Lot area on the east side of the building (Farm Lane side), and go in the door in the middle of the east side of the building right by the block wall sign that says "MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Center." There is a small white sign outside our door that says "Administrative Offices & Education Center Entrance."
